The $8,000 First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit has expired on April 30, 2010 for buyers purchasing their first home.  The credit had also include people selling a home and buying another.  The credit they were elegible to claim was $6,500.

There were some rumors that the credit was going to be extended again, but I have not heard that from any sources that could confirm anything.  Recent discussions that our Lancaster County Association of Realtors leadership have had with legislators indicates the credit is likely not to be extended.

Feel free to contact me for more details on these incentives.
